I just re-read The Four Hour Work week and realized how much the author detests boredom, as it is the worst fate. I'm glad I revisited this book and the other good ideas it has besides outsourcing!

Hi Nicholas,

The documentary is Ongka's Big Moka: The Kawelka of Papua New Guinea. It's a great documentary that helped me look deeper into my own culture, I hope you enjoy it too!

I hate the stigma that sales = bad. This post turns that antiquated association on it's head...bravo!

First, that picture is of the Sham Wow product, right? I bought into that. Hahaha.

This is an interesting post - raising good questions about the emergence and disappearance of different cultures, products, and companies. I especially liked your take on how to adjust to and with them. Those short lived things will not stop popping up, so "how can one take advantage of or avoid temporary tribes?"

Stay hungry, stay foolish. Live life to the fullest, in the moment, with no regrets. Mistakes are definitely a part of life. We never know why and how mistakes help in the moment, but it gets easier to connect the dots after.

Great post, Cindy!

Now I will never be able to look at my mother-in-law without having to suppress the urge to tell her, "Stick THOSE under your armpits!"

Your grandma was a hoot, and I'm glad she let loose that one time and forever cherished the memory. Everyone should have at least one of those moments.
