Red Envelopes

Submitted by on June 14, 2009 – 8:41 pmNo Comment

In each red envelope there’s a dollar bill

A little hope and a little will

A friendly wish an obvious gift

Some reciprocity, some generosity

A substitute for embrace

Comes with a smile, a bow for social grace

This time the outside is more important than the buck

It’s shrouded in red, the color of luck.
